IS CAIXABANK AT FAULT FOR BAD EMPLOYEE ETHICS?

Mr. Iván Masip was charged with upholding CaixaBank’s values as of being named in the “BOE” on 20th October 2015. He is their representative and his behaviour definitely reflects on CaixaBank itself.

But is CaixaBank actually at fault? We think so.

CaixaBank employees are well-known for their seeming superiority and apparent professionalism and most are indeed highly competent and professional. Rotten apples can easily slip through the gaps, however, and that is impossible for any company to avoid.

The question is how the company deals with these rotten apples.

If CaixaBank Customer Services receive the entire history of the complaint by email, they COULD have done something immediately. Instead they chose to question the writer’s signature.

This blog and posts explain everything and CaixaBank’s online Customer Services have links to all. If they wanted to do something, they could. Even if they’d prefer privacy.

Are shame, complacency and lethargy valid reasons to not do anything? If you don’t act, you are at fault.
