WHY WON’T CAIXABANK LET ME CLOSE MY ACCOUNT?

Anyone might suspect that a bank that refuses to close an account must have a strange motive. Surely, the client is always right? And if a disgruntled customer, fed up of being treated badly, being ignored and being charged phantom commissions after having previously agreed with that bank that there should be no commissions on that account, instructs the director of that bank to refund the commissions or close the account, it would be odd for the bank not to comply.

But then again, perhaps they were only ever really interested in charging trumped-up commissions. Providing a service is often far from paramount in the minds of such bankers.

The latest update – apparently, our disgruntled CaixaBank customer has to renew his passport and go to the office in person even though the passport expired several months after having asked Masip Bes to close the account. The director then proceeded to lie outright indicating that he had spoken about precisely this matter with the client’s wife. As the previous conversation between him and the client’s wife had been several months before the passport was even nearing an expiry date, the lie is not only evident, but insultingly so.

We have two business accounts and he answered some emails about company matters and most of our accountant’s emails – ie. He answered our employees emails but wouldn’t reply to either myself or my wife! Amazing service.

You retched little man! Close the account, Masip! And if you can’t, find someone who can. It is beyond laughable that you claim that no one can close an account. You messed up, now sort it out.
